Campus, corporate, and community partners all play an essential role in helping our student veterans succeed at UGA. Our Got Your Six™ awareness classes – presented by the UGA Student Veterans Resource Center – provide individuals with an understanding of the:
- UGA student veteran population
 - The challenges veterans may face while attending a Tier-1 Research University
 - UGA and SVRC-facilitated programs and services in place to mitigate those challenges

Designed to help foster a supportive community for our military-affiliated students, the Got Your Six™ class is also an elective offered within a number of UGA Certificate Programs open to faculty and staff through PEP. During each session, participants will learn about:
- National challenges facing student veterans
 - The student veteran journey to and through higher education (HE)
 - UGA-specific student veteran demographics (i.e age, status, degree)
 - Potential issues facing undergraduate and graduate student veterans
 - Resources available to student veterans throughout their journey at UGA
 - Ways partner organizations can help improve the student veteran experience at UGA
 - An understanding of how the SVRC supports student veterans through its unique programming:

- Persistent Coaching
 - Tailored Veterans Orientation
 - Priority Registration
 - VETConnect
 - Peer2Peer
 - Transition Coaching
 - Readiness Coaching
 - Corporate Connect
 - Student Veteran Oral Histories
 - SVRC-unique Awards and Scholarships
 - SVRC Emergency Funds
